Is it possible to pass in a parameter to a custom datatype built using the user control wrapper? I need some way to pass in a paramater to my custom datatype built on top of the user control wrapper. If this is not possible, can I retrive values in like validation or description where I use the datatype on a document type, and if so how?

try taking a look at http://www.mortenbock.dk/updated-cpalm-multiple-page-picker-for-v3-bugfix-57.htm

It uses the descrioption field for "source node" parameter. It's not a usercontrol wrapper, but maybe the concept is the same...?
