Being fairly new to this great cms, I've got quite a 'simple' question: Have been able to install umbracoBlog and umbracoblogCalendar, but the calendar only shows current date as a hyperlink to a umbraco 'Blog Date Folder'? Am I using the wrong package? Am I suppose to code this myself so that each day that has 'Blog Post's shows as a hyperlink to the corresponding document. Many thanks for your replies. /Dirk

If you are using the original blog package that included the calendar, I had modified it to work a bit better. It is set up to use 'date folders' like the blog package was designed, and aslo had a bit of smart? navigation in place. Here is a temporary link to it. You will have to copy the files into their respectful locations and create the macro by hand. http://neehouse.com/tmp/blogCal/blogcalendar.zip

If you are talking about the blog-calendar I created, the behaviour you describe is intended. You cannot bind a link of 1 day to 1 document since you can make multiple posts on 1 day Hence the link to the blog-date, so yes, you need to have a template for the blog-date-folder to show all entries made on that day.
Hope this clarifies a bit.

Hey all, Many thanks for your replies. I think I have enough info to get me started on this. Hoping to get my website up and running in the next couple of weeks. /Dirk, becoming umbraco addicted!

Hi Peter, Long time no see. Yes, the calendar I mentioned was a modification to the one you originally developed. I added some modifications to correct a couple bugs, and to allow it to work with a blog section rather than a blog site (if that makes sense). Case

Yes, its been a while indeed. But we all know how real life can be a pain sometimes :( It didn't mean Inever looked at Umbraco or here at the forums though ;)
About the calendar, I thought in my version you could also enter the startnode, so it should work with a section of a site? Thinking of it, I'm probably understanding you wrong :hmm:
