I downloaded William Buckley's blog package and it looks promising. I do have a few questions about it...
1. How does one go about adding comments to a blog post? It seems in my installation, there is a section which says "Leave comment:" but there is no way for a user to enter any comments. Is there a setting to turn comments on or something?
2. How does a blog editor add a new blog entry? Do they have to log into umbraco? If so, where do they go to add a new entry? I noticed that the entries seem to have folders setup for each year, month and day.
3. I've seen some comments in other posts about a calendar control that you can use with the blogs. I am wondering if someone could direct me to one that works with version 3.0.3. It seems there are several out there and most are setup for version 2 of Umbraco.
Anyone have any other advice for a newbie blog user? I am setting this up for my Church.

Nevermind...I found that I needed to install the Utilities Package. Once I installed this, I can enter and view comments.
Also, I discovered that to enter a new blog entry...in Umbraco, right click the blog node and select Create and choose the document type "Blog Date Folder". This will create a folder for the year, month and day and an item for the blog entry. I like this feature.
