Users vs. Members - Which to use? Options

Hi,

I am designing a site where there will be articles posted by people not directly affiliated with the website ( we can call them "contributors"). Each contributor should also have their own profile including a photo, website URL, etc. that they can update at any time.
Now, considering the following list of requirements, should I be setting them up as Members or Users of the site?

- They can edit their own profile at any time
- They can create a new article, which will not be published on the site publicly until the Admin signs off on it.
- They can edit an existing article (authored by themselves), but it still needs to go through the approval process before re-publication.

Because they don't need access to site content other than these few things, it seems they should be "Members", but I would appreciate any good advice on best-practice implementation (and perhaps some of you know members/users pros and cons I'm not considering.

The best practice is to use members.
Im developing a portal atm where members can be admin of a group, share files in the group and stuff.
Its working perfectly...

Good practice is to make a templateholder. What I mean by this, is you make a documenttype which only purpurse is to hold other templates. Then you create your profile template in the templateholder. then instead of making a new profile, you create a copy of the profile in the templateholder and modify it. the benefits of this is you always can add an extra template to the profile and it will automaticly been added.

Ronnie,

I'm afraid I don't quite understand the concept of a "templateholder"?
Are you really talking about a Document Type to manage templates (if so, what is the structure)? Or is this a "master template", which holds other templates? Or am I really misunderstanding and this is a Member Group or Member type?

Regarding your current project (<a href="http://www.dnaportalen.dk">www.dnaportalen.dk</a>, though I don't read Danish, I can say the design is very attractive! Bravo! :-)
