I want to make a recommendation for our very own active community member Casey Neehouse's Hosting. Since I am pushing my web development clients toward umbraco, I have a multi-site hosting package from him and have to say that I love it! Casey Neehouse http://neehouse.com/umbraco_cms/hosting.aspxcasey (a) neehouse dot com USA - 5-Site Package - Current (since Fall 2007) - various incarnations of version 3 - SUCCESS! Casey offers great support and setting up a new site is so simple - no permissions need to be fiddled with, etc. Heather

I also recommend Casey's hosting. He's got a great setup, the best control panel I've ever seen, and obviously knows a few things about how to make umbraco sing! Reseller packages available. Good prices. Don't let the (currently) bland site fool you, it's the stuff behind the pages that count when it comes to hosting. Casey even has an umbraco installer. Have a site installed in less than 30 seconds. Amazing. cheers, doug.

I have the following websites running on Casey's servers for my clients: www.BookerT.orgwww.GenerousOrthodoxy.organd a few of my own projects... www.HeatherFloyd.com (this is actually not an umbraco site) www.IndyMarketing.org (not well maintained right now) Though not sure if this information will help you make a decision about hosting with him... What I can say is that anytime my clients have had questions about their email accounts, all I needed to do was send a quick note or telephone call to Casey and he answered questions and took care of any settings changes. He has pointed out possible performance issues with my own umbraco implementations, and suggested improvements. I wholeheartedly endorse Casey as someone who loves umbraco (and is super knowledgeable about it!) and is good to his customers. If you can communicate well in English, I don't think the fact that the servers are in the USA should be a problem for your needs... (unless you really need 24/7 telephone support or something) Good luck on you search, Heather

Thanks for your answers Heather, my largest concern is that 99% of our visitors are from Holland, and connections between Europe and USA are not always that fast, communication is not a problem since most dutchies speak better english as dutch ;)

Hi Sjors, As Heather outlined, she is hosting on my servers, so those sites are a good representation. I have a couple of people from the UK, and they do mention occasional lags in performace, but did mention it was better than some of their local solutions. If you wish, I can set you up a test site that you can try for a few days. Email me at Casey *@* neehouse *.* com. Case

I also host several small sites with Casey and I'm very happy with the performance and his responsive service. I'm also in the US.

Case Hi Casey, i am gonna host our site at Fab-IT since the peerings between Holland and Denmark are very good, an other reason is that i like to host my sites under European Law, in the past i had some problems with American Authorities ;)

cheers, doug. Well no, the content of my footballclub is not a problem at all But in the past i did run a shop in Erotic Materials, and after 2 months i got a mail from the hoster that i was in violation with local laws. Well it was a litttle bit ridiculous because with selling 10.000 different items its impossible for me to check or everything is allowed for US laws. But the main reason are still the peerings to europe.
