Maybe a little bit strange question, but is someone from fab-it visiting this forum?
I had a mail conversation with eske from fab-it, but after a while she did not respond anymore to my questions.....
I am in desperate need for hosting on this moment, i had temporaly hosted a website on a friends server, to bad a power failure demolished the harddisk :(

So if someone of fab-it can help mail me on sjorsp @ gmail dot dom or msn on sjorsp@xs4all.nl

Hi Sjors

I'm not from Fab-It, but we use them a lot.

Have you tried writing to the support (at) fab-it.dk mail address? That gives you a ticket number as far as I recall, so that would probably be easier to refere to.

(By the way, Eske is a he, not a she.... in case it wasn't a typo?)

I'm looking for a new job

If you need a good hosting provider in the Netherlands you could try www.webstekker.nl. They sell shared hosting packages starting at eur 12,99 p/m. (1 gb diskspace, 75 gb data, ms sql server).

I'm using webstekker for a couple of Umbraco sites. Works very well. Webstekker has a good support desk. No queues if you call them and most of the time they can help you during the phonecall.

Eske is the CEO of FAB-IT and he's still working there, but he can be hard to contact. Instead use the support@fab-it.dk as Morten mentioned.

I can only recomend FAB-it. They are really profs and know what they are doing. only con is that they are hard to get in touch with.

Well since they are a small company they don't have a 24/7 service.

If you wrote friday - which was a danish holiday and therefore thay were closed. You should exspect a responce soon. Today is the first workday since Easter.

I don't expect a 24h service, but i did send at least 4 mails, i don't think they have bad intensions but my problem is that my current website is totally down, the website i manage is the Official site of our footballclub, since we are fully working digital we are dependend off this information.

The service they did provide, was great, i could send them my files, and they had the website up and running within 24 hours, its still running, so only thing that i need is official permission, i think i will give them a call tomorrow.

Hi,

I'm using them for everything. Mail responses are a bit slow. So I call them. That works :-)

Kindly,

I have been using FAB-IT since the end of last year and I have been very happy with the service. I have to agree with the other comments, although they have an auto responder on their help desk, 99% of the time I don't hear anything after receiving the auto response!

I suggest the old fashioned method of picking up the phone and calling them during office hours. They are always very helpful and get things setup or fixed quickly.

If they sorted out their support processes I'd highly recommend them. I'd still recommend them to everyone as long as you have patience ;-)

Also, when you call them, they have a prompt saying "for english press one, etc" when you press 1, don't be surprised that the call is answered in Danish, they will still understand you when you say... "err... hello?"

We host the following Umbraco sites at FAB-IT

Added Value Applications
Nursing Personnel

More are currently in the pipeline and will also be hosted by FAB-IT.

Eske, I hope you are listening to your customers feedback!
