Yep, let's start this one up.

For a long time, I've been wanting to contribute some kind of extension for Umbraco, because I want to give something back in some way, however - it is pretty difficult to know what has been developed already, and what needs to looked at, because not every finished extension is commited to the package repository.

So let's have a list of ideas - what do you want to see in your favorite CMS?

My own wishes:
A backend plugin which does cropping and scaling of images, maybe some lightweight image adjustment tools (brightness/contrast)
Multiple fileuploads in the media-section

Incoming suggestions:
Advanced gallery - with comments, voting and multiple fileuploads (proposed by TelCon)

Best Regards
Simon

I wanna see a better gallery. I mean, with the possibility of comments and voting from visitors on the webpage etc. -And of course a multiple fileupload to the gallery.

Gallery Server Pro has a greaaat upload/sync-function, but misses the comment/voting and "integrating-into-other-websites" functionality for example.

I got aaaalot of pictures in a ASP-gallery that I wanna share with my friends, I just don't know the best way to do it on my new Umbraco-site... :-/

(And yes, I'm a ASP.NET newbie. :-))

Hi Simm!

This is the number one wish we also have for Umbraco.

Thanks for looking into it.

Best regards

Hi,

I use flickr.com and lightbox as gallery for my websites.

I built a usercontrol to display my flickr photos or albums on my .net and umbracos sites.

Here is an example: http://worldcupsylt.viewr.de
