Hi

I'm wondering about how big umbraco sites can be ? I think, Neils has mentioned that umbraco can have about 200000 nodes. If this is true, I think most of the content has to be placed in other databases and accessed through usercontrols :-(

This site i'm planning is a user community with profile pages, user created content, etc. By time there is a possibility than the umbraco node tree will expand through the 200000 nodes.

bilzonen.dk is also running umbraco and may have this same issue ??

Regards,
/Anders

Bilzonen.dk doesn't store classifields in umbraco, but in 3rd party databases. They use umbraco as template/rendering engine and for editorial content.

Jeeeez, did I really start this :-)

Thanks Niels, for the info about bilzonen.dk. I'll keep that in mind.

But what about the maximum amount of nodes in the site tree ? I'm wondering about; should I use the umbraco member feature to control access, profile pages and so on and keep other object (count of 10000+) in a seperate system, OR is umbraco not the right tool for this type of community ?
