I'm interested in hosting Umbraco 3.0.2 at the Swedish web hosting provider Surftown and when I logged in on their test account I saw that somebody is already testing an Umbraco installation: umbraco.web.surftown.com Now I'm interested in getting in touch with the person testing this to see if we can help each other. :)

Try doing a search for Surftown. I think there's a couple of guys trying to get Umbraco to work with them, the major issue seems to be that their hotels are running in medium trust. Which is really no recommended for Umbraco. /SoerenS Brug for råd til hvordan du driver en god webshop? / Need advice on how to run an effective webshop?

Thanks! I'm in a hurry so I didn't really have time to do some testing - I chose a different hosting provider and now I'm just waiting for the account to come through.

I also have umbraco running at Surftown in Denmark. I have had some problems with the content cache (access denied error when umbraco tries to save the content to the xml-file). I haven't turned the cache off (but maybe I should ;) but the site works fine in spite of the error getting logged in the umbracoLog database table from time to time.
Today I tried version 3.0.3 witch I think may contain a fix for the problem, but I encountered other problems, and switched quickly back to 3.0.2. Otherwise I have experienced no problems.

I had problems at surftown with getting the ASP.NET permissions for my files and folders, and after a lot of support-talk without any progress. So I decided to pay a little more for my hotel and then I moved to www.wannafind.dk where I got what I need including phone support all day long. /Rune

I'm running v3.0.3 and v3.0.5 on Surftown, it is running ok, when it is running, but I experience, when I am working to much in the backend, publishing documents or deleting documents, I get "Service unavailable". Seems like everything on the server (wsw5) is running on the same Application Pool, because all websites goes down, also other users solutions, and it seems like everything is down until the Application Pool is restarted.
At the moment I am looking for at new provider, but it is hard to find one, that is as cheap as Surftown.
So if anyone has experienced "Service unavaiable" when running Umbraco, and has solved the issue, please let me know, and I will try to contact Surftown, and see if they can fix this. :-)
