Hey Folks,

Been learning and reading up on Umbraco for the past week doing some testing with integrating custom .NET controls and custom XSL Namespace controls. So far everything is great and easy to implement. As a developer who has been working with XSL for years things are fairly straight forward. I do have one question though and that is in regards to the <?UMBRACO_ tags you are using in templates. No where can I find documentation on these and I have searched everywhere.

Is there any documentation on these. From what I can tell you are using these 'special' tags to build out the full XSL before transforming it on the XML document which makes sense.

Also, under the current project we need to extend the members object and I am not sure how to proceed. Basically we need to be able to tag a registration as a certain type and then we will be doing some metrics on this. For example the user registered for the newsletter at 3rd party site but also made 10 blog posts. My immediate response is to add my own tables and use my own custom controls to integrate into the members table in the database but I do not want to reinvent the wheel on this item.

Your thoughts and comments?

Cheers

Well geez don't I feel like an idiot I assumed that tiny 16 pixel help button took me to the same help the main help button did at the top of the admin interface. Any reason why that BIG help button does not give me a list of help topics and is context sensitive to the page I am on?

By the way Mike the Penguins suck and are going to loose in the second round of the playoffs so take your flag out of my office ;-)

I will have some page and user see this page I have to remember that in site so when user again log in I show him what pages he already see.

My question is do I need to create new table and store this data into it or I can use addiotional properties to archive this ...

any idea will be good.

Sorry for my English
