Hi,

How Can I setup a login user to see only some nodes ( child of Content ) ?

( NO 1 user = 1 tree )!

Thanks

Just set the "start in" node on the User page in umbraco. Then the user will only be able to work on that node and its children.

cheers,
doug.

You can specify a start node in both content and media on the user tab. I'm pretty sure they will not have access above the node you specify.

Hi,

I mean that with one user or login, I wish see more "start" nodes. I know that if I set up start node , I see only that node, but I wish see more main nodes.

Hi,

It's not. But there are some workarounds for this, one being more elegant and user friendly than the other. It's up to you to decide what fits best:

- If still in early stage of developing, make sure the site content structure is designed in such a way that you only need to set 1 start node per user.
- Create multiple users, one for each of the start nodes. Bit odd, as people would have to login using multiple user accounts.
- Play around with permission settings on node basis. I think in this case it's impossible to make nodes invisible, but at least you can restrict permissions on each separate node. (I agree that this could become quite difficult to administer)

Hope that helps.

/Dirk

Thank you for your reply.
I hoped that there was another method. I know those.
