Best place for CSS images Options

In my CSS there are several images used for the site layout, I mean images that are not part of the content but are part of the graphic layout of the site like background, bullets, borders, and so on. Which is the best place to put those images?

Hi,

In my opinion, there isn't such a thing as the best place to put images, but for most of the sites I work on/have worked on (either umbraco or not), I keep the layout images as close to the css as possible.

/css
/css/img/...

Just my 2 cents.
