Images to link? Are these part of the layout? Just drop those images in any folder and reference those as you would in classis asp.net? Btw, you can easily use your favorite vs.net tools to edit the (master) templates. If you've put the css files in the css folder, umbraco will pick up those and list them as well! Again, just as in plain asp.net, add those as you've done a thousand times before. Most of the stuff will go into the master template.
Creating content is as simple as:
- Creating a document type to 'represent' the page's content. Set the desired template (If you haven't one in place - besides the master - create a new one...). Add some properties.
- Add content nodes of the newly created document types.
