Does umbraco have a built in contact form? How do I use it if it does, if not where can I get one compatible with umbraco?

You should check out the following listing of packages and extensions.

Community Extensions

And, you should check out the official packages available in the developer section as well (Expand Packages and select 'Umbraco Package Repository'). I think the Utilities package may contain what you are looking for.

Best,

Hi,

I'd strongly suggest to:

- Read some documentation about the basics of umbraco. Here's a great list to start off with: http://www.nibble.be/?p=40
- subscribe to umbraco.tv at http://umbraco.tv. It's a very useful resource.
- Attend a training http://umbraco.org/training.
- Hire a developer if you have the cash

Not particularly in this order of course.

If you still have some specific questions, shoot and we'll try to help you out the best we can.

Hope this helps.

Good luck on your journey.

Regards.
/Dirk

I do not have the cash to hire a developer, I am a developer at a firm in the US that is just trying out umbraco as a new cms system. I can not go to a training because I am in America, and the traning videos I do not have the cash for them (cant justify paying for it and possibly not using umbraco again after this one test instance) thanks for the 1 useful link though that looks like a great place to start out.

Hi Evan,

It's not that we don't want to help you out... No, don'get that impression.I just wanted to point you in the right direction if you wish to learn more about umbraco. As soon as you've learned a bit more about the basics of umbraco, let us know in more detail what difficulties you run into and we'll all be more than willing to help you out.
