We have at least one developer position open in our team. The company is Condé Nast and we make websites for ourselves - vogue.co.uk, glamourmagazine.co.uk, wired.co.uk and more (see www.condenast.co.uk).

The department is a highly talented multi-disciplined team (editors, designers, developers) focused on creating highly useable experiences for users who are passionate about their relevant field (fashion or technology for example). As such we require someone who can deliver high-quality, scaleable, and web-safe client code (fully compatible and standardised) to a deadline.

Our .net code base is mostly C# and .net 3.5 - we work with umbraco, lucene and some cool internal tools - we have built up a great library of code. There are some exciting projects coming up and we need someone who can learn quickly.

The position is London based in a great West-End office. The team is very sociable and it's a great opportunity if you want to get a chance to work in a unique multi-disciplined environment with a great team of developers and plenty of support for innovation.

CONDENET UK
Web & .NET Developer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced web developer to contribute to the next-generation online experience at CondéNet UK.

As a Web Developer for CondéNet UK you will contribute to technology development and custom commercial solutions for an established Media Company. We have a solid online core business in terms of customers and revenues, but we intend to accelerate our growth in the digital space by innovating and creating new and engaging online user experiences.

We are looking for someone who can make a significant and immediate impact. You will work amongst bright, motivated team members in a healthy work environment totally focused on delivering a great user experience and delighting our clients.

An ideal candidate for this position is a detailed oriented person who can collaborate openly and professionally, contributing in a small team of software development professionals, and working closely with other stakeholders. Clear, concise communication to non-technical colleagues and clients (both internal and external) is essential, as is an ability to work with external vendors (e.g. technical agencies) and project manage their deliverables.

The ideal candidate also has a solid understanding and demonstrated experience delivering software products according to the full software lifecycle using Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate understands it’s about how best to provide value to the customer by making their daily workflows easier and more productive through the inception of solid processes and timely delivery.

To succeed as a Web & .NET Developer you will have previous experience of working in a team and the ability to drive, manage and deliver development projects.
