The department is a highly talented multi-disciplined team (editors, designers, developers) focused on creating highly useable experiences for users who are passionate about their relevant field (fashion or technology for example). As such we require someone who can deliver high-quality, scaleable, and web-safe client code (fully compatible and standardised) to a deadline.
Our .net code base is mostly C# and .net 3.5 - we work with
umbraco,
lucene and some cool internal tools - we have built up a great library of code. There are some exciting projects coming up and we need someone who can learn quickly.

As a Web Developer for CondéNet UK you will contribute to technology development and custom commercial solutions for an established Media Company. We have a solid online core business in terms of customers and revenues, but we intend to accelerate our growth in the digital space by innovating and creating new and engaging online user experiences.
We are looking for someone who can make a significant and immediate impact. You will work amongst bright, motivated team members in a healthy work environment totally focused on delivering a great user experience and delighting our clients.
An ideal candidate for this position is a detailed oriented person who can collaborate openly and professionally, contributing in a small team of software development professionals, and working closely with other stakeholders. Clear, concise communication to non-technical colleagues and clients (both internal and external) is essential, as is an ability to work with external vendors (e.g. technical agencies) and project manage their deliverables.
The ideal candidate also has a solid understanding and demonstrated experience delivering software products according to the full software lifecycle using Agile methodologies. The ideal candidate understands it’s about how best to provide value to the customer by making their daily workflows easier and more productive through the inception of solid processes and timely delivery.
