In the CWS NewsEventsSubNavi.xslt it by default lists 3 news or event items on the front page.

I want to change this so that it insteed lists the three latest newsItems (with a headline "Latest News" and then with a new headline "Up Coming Events" the 3 first eventItems (after current date).

Currently I'm getting a mix of news and events where it doesn't really post the latest news posted, if there are older events, as it only sorts by create date. Not really useful.

Any help appriciated.
