I've just talked a friend through an install on his server however after completeing the install the site is trying to install the site again -which he's done but it's still just looping. Is there a flag somewhere that says the application isn't installed? We can edit the entire site without an issue... -the Host Headers are configured fwiw Tim

Delete the install folder and set the umbracoConfigurationStatus in the web.config to the version you are using eg: <add key="umbracoConfigurationStatus" value="3.0.4" /> Thomas

ta it was the config setting -the install directory had already been deleted as he was following instructions and IIRC from my last installation, the web.config update was automatic but I'll check that later :tease:

It depends on the rights on the web.config if it can be set automatically, but if it cannot be written it gives you a hint that you have to do this on the last screen of the wizard. Thomas
