Hi all,

first thanks for the wonderful work! we'll of course donate for umbraco v3.0.

is it possible to integrate the umbraco ecommerce server (which is based on 2.0) in an umbraco 2.1 installation. this installation is running with custom xslt files and custom .net usercontrols.

thanks for more information!

greetings from switzerland

Hi Pascal,

I do remember reading that the eCom beta extension can only be installed on a "clean" umbraco. Try searching the old Yahoo groups for an answer confirming this.

Yes you in add the ecommerce extension afterwards if you use the package by kasper: http://kasperb.dk/2006/2/28/ecommerce_extension_update_update.aspx

Don't forget to do a backup before though, this is a beta.

hi,

thanks for your fast answers!! the extensions from kaspar's homepage will also install a new demo website with templates breadcrumbs etc. is there a way to just install the things i need? without all the demosite stuff?

i'm going to read trough the yahoo mailing list.

thanks for your help!

i just tried to install the extension on my existing website.
but there is a error after the wizard is complete.
something like "main key already exists".

So there is no way to install the shop in an existing installation?

My best guess is that you have to make a clean, separate install on a clean Umbraco, and then copy all the necessary .dll, .ascx, documenttypes, macro's, xslt's and an SQL Stored Procedure or two onto your exisitng site.

Or maybe this is a bit easier: Copy the content of your existing site onto a clean Umbraco with eCom installed.
