Guys,

Has anyone built an email alerts system in umbraco. Basically i have member reg and part of process is selecting using check box areas of interest these areas map to actual nodes in umbraco. What i want to do is on publish of content emial all users who are interested in that content. I take it i would have to do it with action handler? Also would there not be big performance hit if everytime i publish i spam a load of users?

Has anyone else already done this? I believe the forum had email alerts?
