For those who were unhappy with the Yahoo!Maps package, Google finally updated their API to allow for GeoCache address lookups.

I have not fully tested this package, but I did try to make it as like the Yahoo!Maps package. There are a couple of known bugs that I will look into later, but generally, it does work.

You will need to obtain an API Key for your site for the maps to work.

For more information, visit the Package Page.

I am using the long/lat in my where in the world example. It will typically resolve it if you place it in the address as well, but there are more specific commands that handle long/lat addresses. Look at the code behind this page, and you will see it is using both addresses and long/lat. I also have some javascript that parses the long/lat from a comma seperated string in the functions.

Let me know if you need further assistance.
