Hi,
How about dynamic content on pages from SQL into the frontends of umbraco portals.
Like what if i was working on a news site where the content on the pages could change more than once per day.
And also does anyone kwow or can some body give me a zip link to download the source. I downloaded the SVN program but i think the firewall is blocking that port.
Regards, Baka

Hey Baka...
not sure what you mean here? are you trying to display content from a separate SQL server database? Why not just create a .Net user control to access & display that content, and insert that into umbraco page using a macro?
or did i miss your point?

Here's a tutorial on implementing .Net controls in Umbraco: http://umbraco.org/frontpage/documentation/implementingnetcontrols.aspxHere's how to create a .Net User Control in Visual Studio 2005: http://umbraco.berlin.net.au/umbraco-tips/create-a-user-control-in-vs2005.aspxYou can pass PageID to the User Control: http://umbraco.berlin.net.au/umbraco-tips/passing-pageid-to-a-macro.aspxYou can even debug User Controls using Visual Studio 2005: http://umbraco.berlin.net.au/umbraco-tips/debugging-user-controls-in-vs2005.aspxRead through it all... give it a try.. its actually amazingly easy to do.. i found my brain bubblign with all sorts of ideas when i started working with external controls and Umbraco. No special coding required to integrate, its great. enjoy greg
