Hi
This is my first post in the forum, so I home that I can get some help with my question.
At work I am currently building a new homepage based on Umbraco. The development is going great, but I have problems with the Dictionary.
When I try to insert Japanese characters in to the dictionary then are inserted in to the database as question marks. When I insert the Japanese characters directly in to the database they show up on the site correctly. So it seems to be some problems when you press save in the dictionary.
Japan and Singapore is two out of ten countries our company has subsidiaries in, so it would be great if there is a way to fix the dictionary, or will it maybe be fixed in v3 of Umbraco?
Otherwise I think Umbraco is great to work with, it’s to Dynamic! It’s great! :)

Seems to be a known problem.
Maybe we should file a bug? Len.

Hi Len and Marcus!
we were also experiencing the same problem with Greek characters in the dictionary changing to question marks ???? after publishing.
we were also having problems with other non-western characters (Hungarian) changing after publishing a parent node (in the main content and not dictionary items).
The good news is that Niels has found the cause of the bugs! He and his legion of developers are busy working on the fix as we speak so expect some updates soon. Hurrah for Niels!
