I'm trying to figure out how to use Media Types.
I want to add a new type, pdf. and then extend it so that it has similar attributes as image.
In the end I want to generate a thumbnail photo of a pdf, find out how many pages it has, size and so on.

What I can't figure out is how to populate the attributes. Do I use a actionhandler? how is this done now with folder, image and file?

To retrieve information from pdf I was thinking if using iText.net, I'm still trying to figure out how to make a thumbnail.

ps. I'm not new to c# but I just can't find how this is done with the types available in the umbraco source.
