Just out if curiosity, has anyone considered using SQLite as a db?

Perhaps it is a bit premature, since it is .NET v2.0, but it is better than MS Access and could be an option for those of us, who doesn't have a SQL either server or express ;)

Hehe..Interesting stuff. Many shared hosts could offer this as a replacement for the dreaded Access databases. The webpage you link to, also states that there are precompiled binaries for the ARM architecture. Could be fun to see whether if its possible to host Umbraco on a PDA. For what purpose? I don't know .. proof of concept :D

I installed this and it works absolutely OK, from what I could read in the forum it's supposed to be quite fast and supports databases of sizes up to 2 TeraByte, compared to SQL Express' 4 GigaByte or Jet/Access' 2 GigaByte limit.

Since I'm no DB wiz it would be really nice to hear from an expert IF this DB could be used with Umbraco, and if not; Why? I read that it didn't support Row locking, is this needed with umbraco? I guess not...

Anyway seems to be a nice little portable DB... ; )
