Hello all,
I need some help with creating a specification for a freelance developer, on how to create a custom datatype for umbraco.

What information should I give him, as this developer will not know anything about umbraco to begin with?

The developer will be creating a custom datatype to allow the user to upload files to a remote server.

I haven't had much luck with any information on creating a custom datatype for umbraco, can anyone help me please.
