Turning off Lucene search Options

Hi,
Whenever I open umbraco I have a pile of errors thrown into the log that seem to be related to Lucene search not being able to find the umbsearch directory and other files. I don't think we are using this search, so is it possible for me to turn it off so that I don't get these errors?

The umbraco search is done using umbracoUtilities if you remove that dll that will stop it. However there are other little goodies in there that you will lose like autoform / subscribe / umbresponsetype.
