My editors will frequently have the situation where they create a new content story which will contain several new PDFs linked throughout the text. It would be ideal if the editor could upload the PDFs to the appropriate folder in the Media library from the actual content form without switching to the media section to upload the PDFs -- like a mediaPickerWithUpload datatype.
Does anything like this exist?

Hi Tom! The insert image dialog (in the editor) has an option to create a new image, I don't know if you can extend that functionality somehow...
