Hi,

I'm having a problem with an Umbraco 2.1.7 site, after changing the config/umbracoSettings.xml file back to the original settings, the page names are now all displaying as the node id .aspx.

Does anyone know what may have caused the page names to change to nodes?

Site can be viewed here.

Thanks in advance,
Alex.

Some changes in the config files require umbraco to recalculate the url's for the nodes. Sounds like that's what happened.

Simply right-click on the top-level nodes of your site in the content section of umbraco, and select the "publish" menu item. Be sure to put a checkmark in the "publish children" box.

Repeat for all the top-level nodes so that all the nodes will get republished.

Note that this is not the same thing as right clicking on the CONTENT node and selecting "republish entire site", which won't recalculate the urls.

cheers,
doug.

Thanks Douglas,

However the problem seems to be caused by another issue, that is, I cannot see any of the changes being published. Unfortunatly I don't have access to the the webserver, so I can't see what configuration changes have occurred.
