I have been making some significant changes to a site today, and now some of the pages do not make proper use of the stylesheet.

If I open the "live" page it looks as though the (positional) CSS is not working but if I preview the page via the CMS then it displays perfectly.

I saved the source from each version (live and preview) and compared using WinDiff ... and they were identical!?Brick wall

I have cleared by browser's cache, I have restarted the web site in IIS but nothing seems to sort it.

Anyone have any ideas?

OK, I'm only posting this reply in order to help others ... even though it'll make me look like a twit d'oh!

The "problem" was caused by the stylesheet include statement in the template not having a leading "/" - I had "css/stylesheet.css" rather than "/css/stylesheet.css"! Hence the reason why sub pages did not work (and why preview did!) d'oh!

Oh well, live and learn ;-)

Not really -- we've all done things like that! I can't tell you how many times I've spent hours poring over some maddening little glitch only to later discover a very obvious typo in my code. If you have another developer nearby, it's always a good idea to let him or her eyeball your code because those little mistakes seem to be easier to find by another person.
