This isn't strictly a feature request, more a 'heads up' for something I spotted. Take a look at markitup: markitup.jaysalvat.comIt basically turns any textarea into a markup editor. It's got some really excellent customisation options. It seems to be very well done. I wonder if it would be a useful addition to umbraco? For me, being able to pull out an editor's content and 'fix' it through a more purposed editor such as markitup rather than the rich text editor would be prettty useful. Richard

Wow, looks really nice, actually i had a customer who could use this, we have now a "raw" type which actually have one TextArea where they can put HTML for splash pages. I Really like it :)

Nice find, Richard! This would be really helpful in umbraco if there were a way to use markitup on the fly to edit an existing RTE field. No more copy / paste into html editor / edit / copy / paste back into umbraco.

I think scripts of this editor and of tiny are conflicting.

Maybe someone with good JS skills can give it a try? Download and unzip it in: umbraco\presentation\umbraco_client\tinymce\themes\advanced\ You can find my stuff here: http://www.wvhedw.nl/markitup.zip
