Hi,

I am trying to determine what is the best way to capture data in Umbraco using forms. I see the Doc2Forms plugin, and understand that it updates Umbraco content. I come from a world of updating database content through a business class layer, and so I am wondering that the limitations are of only manipulating Umbraco content versus writing to the DB, to custom tables.

Please forgive this vague question, but basically I'm trying to get the lay of the land for using forms to persist data.

Thanks!

Hi Josh, I have a local copy of Doc2Form that will save to a 3rd party table with fields named with the same aliases as the umbraco document type properties. Let me know if you are interested in trying this out by emailing me at casey at neehouse dot com.

I am going out of town, so, it may be a few days before I can get you the control.
