Hi,

I'm running my own vps at combell.com. Haven't had any real issues since I started my corporate site. I'd recommend it to anyone near Belgium. Great support, available 24/7. Not the cheapest though.

Have no real experience with their shared or reseller hosting plans, but I guess they're quite flexible when it comes to setting the required security permissions.

Extra note: I do not get paid for this, I only wanted to share this with our umbraco community!

Regards,
/Dirk

I asked this to the combell support and they don't support umbraco on their shared hosting ( full trust ). But vps is great

as far as I know, there's currently no Belgium based hosting company offering full or high trust in a shared asp.net hosting environment (I know for sure Hostbasket doesn't either)

I have used several shared packages at UltimaHosts and Umbraco (2.0, 3.0) runs just fine on these; the range of options and the capacity offered is quite amazing, considering the low price you pay for it

UltimaHosts is an Australian company I believe, with a datacenter in the US (ultimahosts.com) and one in the UK (ultimahosts.eu); the latter offers a much better connectivity to Europe (although slightly more expensive than the US version)

you can get a 3-day free trial account to check it out

if you want a cheap solution for Umbraco, you won't find better I think

While Ultima Hosts surelly are cheaper then many it's important to know that their service level isn't the best for their "Unlimited" packages. I've had some low-traffic sites there for 1.5 years and there have been numerous interuptions and timeouts that they haven't been able to explain.

The worst comment I've ever heard from a hosting provider came from Ultima, when one of the persons I had recommended to them was unhappy with the downtimes, she got a reply regarding her website being business critical:

Quote:
...It does amaze me that you paid $120 a year for business critical sites. Not a good idea. So next time purchase something that matches your hosting needs. Freedom.Net is NOT for business hosting!
You have until May 23rd to find a more appropriate solution. ...

Kinda funny, this Hosting Plan now costs $199 a year and their "Enterprise" plan costs $299 a year, not that extreme big difference if you ask me... and both plans offer "100% Network Uptime Guarantee"...
