That's cool, Mike. Was nice meeting you BTW ;)

If you know other Umbraco-minded people, be sure to tell them about this thread as well!

Hi all,

@astuanax: Next meeting? We're still to organise the first :). Glad to hear you want to take part.

Yep, we haven't set a date for a first meeting, and I just launched this thread to see who else might be interested in a user group. I guess we currently have a fair amout of people interested in meetings, so I guess to next topic will be to set a date for the first meeting (And a place, and...).You may throw in ideas of course

Let me list the current volunteers again:

astuanex
Ruben
Zyprio
tim
Dirk
rsoeteman
SimplyMath
dawoe
Kapoue
Lieven

Here's my small list of questions/ideas I have for the moment:

-Where can we meet (geographically)
-First meeting: getting to know each other, ... CG08 feedback, ...
-...

I'll try to set up a mailing list, so if you're interested, leave a message here

Feel free to add other questions/ideas.

Regards,
/Dirk

So, lets make this happen, looks like we have enough people for a first meeting, any ideas for a date and venue or office ?

A Saturday would be perfect. Gent is 233 KM from my home, but for a day talking to Umbraco users and learning more of this cool CMS it's completely worth it!!

Yup, same goes for me. 28th of June is not really an option. Other dates *should* be fine! I'll bookmark those in my agenda. Gent is certainly fine.

@tim: Have a name for the venue?

/Dirk

Can't say for sure yet, I'll get in touch with the 'venue' people this week and see what I can arrange.

19th of july is an option.

Be aware though, 'Gentse Feesten' are taking place then (First day of the 'festival'). I would rather go for the 12th of July?

I'm afraid that the 12th of July will end up in a Divorce. If the 19th is not an option because of the Gentse Feesten I will attend the next meeting...

I didn't say 19th is not a option, but it might be quite difficult to get 'open space' for the meeting, unless we move out of the center of Gent.

@tim: Is 'your' 'venue' right in the center, or somewhere else?

@ruben: Don't want to wait so long :).

Venue is in the center but not in the middle of the 'feesten' and it has it's own parking lot. I should have a final awnser this week, I'll keep you guys posted.

Kindly,
Tim
