Darren,
Looks like your internal index is missing. Have look in the install zip see if you have a copy there i think system reboot it should recreate one for you worse case just write a dash board control to re index for you need code like
umbraco.cms.businesslogic.Indexer.ReIndex();
I have dashboard controls project with controls to do this if you need it just msn me ill send it to you.

Morten, Ismail sent me a usercontrol that rebuilt the index for me.
