Greetings,

Has anyone attempted to integrate WYMeditor into Umbraco?

Hi mgrdcm
Not that I am aware of is there a specific reason why you want to use the this editor as opposed to the one built into umbraco?

Absolutely!

WYMeditor is a WYSIWYM editor instead of WYSIWYG. It allows real semantic content to be created. Granted, at this time, it isn't really production-quality or complete, but when it is I think it (or another project that uses that philosophy) will be vastly superior to the WYSIWYG editors that dominate now for most things, as separation between content/structure and style becomes more and more essential.

Wow! I just took a look at WYMeditor and I love the concept. I would definitely like to see this implemented in umbraco. I think its philosophy dovetails very nicely with that of the umbraco core team and most of the community in that it allows/forces the end user to focus on content without so much potential to wreck the markup.
