Hi all I have a site running 3.0.5 for some time without any problems but suddently I can't publish anything. I get this error in the log Code:Xml wasn't saved: System.Xml.XmlException: Invalid XML document, The document does not have a root element.. at System.Xml.XmlDocument.Save(String filename) at umbraco.content.SaveContentToDisk(XmlDocument xmlDoc) Is this a permission thing or what could cause this to happen.

I don't have access to the server so I can't check the file permissions. I'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to call the guys at fab-it.
Well I have double checked all config files but I can't see any errors here. I have published and repulish all content but nothing seems to work out.

There is something really wrong with this installation. All settings on the server is triple checked and no errors are found. There is running 100 Umbracos with the same settings and none of the others are having problems. My guess is that something has went wrong in the database. But where can it go wrong in the db? I have tried setting a clean installation up locally and connecting to the database with the same result. In Opera I get this error message that tells something is wrong with the notFoundHandler. Link to screen dumpThe user tells me that something went wrong when he tried to sort all the nodes. It came up with an error message of some kind and after that it wasn't possible to publish or see content on the site anymore.

Soren,
Maybe its worth doing a db restore from backup before the sort if you have one? Thats the first time ive seen that error.

The db restore didn't help - but again i don't know when the error started so I don't know how long it goes back.
Instead i started from scratch an builded the site again. Quicker than looking for errors in this case.
